UPDATE 2 : Britney arrived at UCLA Medical Center’s Mattel Children’s Hospital
with two cars following her and a police escort which was pre-planned. The caravan of cars wasn’t didn’t appear to be moving in a way that would suggest there was an emergency. The whole thing started around noon PT today when the three cars left Spears’ Calabasas home, heading for Westwood. Stay tuned for updates …

X17online’s calls to Britney’s publicist weren’t immediately returned. Media relations for the hospital said “we can’t comment due to patient confidentiality.

Update : A rep for Britney Spears stated that her recent trip to the Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA is nothing more than a routine checkup.

“Everything is fine,” her rep tells X17online. “Britney is there for an annual physical.”

Britney arrived to the children’s hospital in Westwood around noon with a three-car caravan and a police escort.

We can all gain a few pounds without noticing much, but Britney Spears’ ex-husband, Kevin Federline took the Golden-Arches award last Summer for added dimension.

And he now claims even he was shocked by the pictures;

“When I saw this picture, I didn’t think I was this big,” he told the News. “I thought it was photoshopped, you know? Then I realized I was just letting myself go.”

When she’s not being named one of the low points of fashion during the Grammys or inspiring MTV writers to challenge what they once considered her worst fashion crime, Britney Spears has reportedly been hitting the recording studio in Miami with manager Larry Rudolph and agent boyfriend Jason Trawick.

Spears and Trawick flew into Miami Beach this weekend, where they checked into the Setai Hotel and Resort and walked around the beach, according to People. They also made a trip to the recording studio marking Spears’ return to music amid rumors the singer would release a new single this spring.
